Our Specialized Services

Child Assessments & Learning Profile Development

Many Caribbean families know their child needs support but may not have a clear understanding of what kind of support is needed. This service helps families identify their child’s strengths, learning style, developmental needs, behavior patterns, communication needs, emotional regulation challenges, and functional skill gaps.

Through assessments, observations, family interviews, and school feedback, we create a clear picture of the child’s needs and provide practical recommendations for home, school, and community success.

Direct Functional Training & Independence Skills

Neurodiverse students often need more than academic support. They may need direct teaching in communication, routines, transitions, emotional regulation, self-care, social understanding, organization, problem-solving, task completion, and independence.

This service provides hands-on functional training that helps children apply skills in real-life settings, including the home, classroom, and community. Families receive coaching so strategies can be practiced consistently beyond the session.

School-Based Intervention & Inclusive Classroom Support

Designing evidence-based, engaging learning experiences tailored to the unique needs of diverse school populations. This service provides classroom observations, teacher consultation, behavior support planning, intervention strategies, staff training, inclusion planning, and progress-monitoring systems.

The goal is to help schools move from reacting to student challenges to creating structured, supportive, and inclusive classrooms.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the typical consulting process for families?

Our process begins with a pre-consultation discovery intake questionnaire designed to help us learn more about your child’s strengths, developmental needs, learning profile, behavior patterns, family concerns, and support goals. This allows us to thoughtfully determine whether our services are a strong match for your family’s needs and whether our assessment, intervention, and direct functional training model can provide meaningful benefit.

Based on the information gathered, we create a personalized roadmap that outlines recommended next steps, targeted skill areas, practical strategies, activities, and resources to support your child’s progress. This ensures that families receive clear guidance, purposeful support, and services that are aligned with their child’s unique growth needs.

How do your services differ for schools and organizations?

Our services are customized based on the setting, goals, and level of support needed. While our core focus remains the same—helping neurodiverse learners thrive through assessment, intervention, functional training, and systems development—the way we support a school may look different from the way we support a community organization, ministry, center, or family-serving program.

For schools, Bright Minds Consulting focuses on strengthening the learning environment. This may include classroom observations, student support planning, teacher coaching, behavior support strategies, inclusive instruction, intervention systems, IEP or learning-plan guidance, staff training, and school-wide frameworks for supporting students with autism, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, behavioral needs, developmental delays, and executive functioning challenges.

For organizations, our work is often broader and more program-focused. We support agencies, ministries, nonprofits, childcare centers, therapy programs, and community-based organizations by helping them design, improve, or evaluate services for neurodiverse children and families. This may include policy consultation, program development, staff training, family support models, service menus, implementation plans, capacity-building, and inclusive frameworks.

In both settings, our goal is not to offer one-size-fits-all advice. We help schools and organizations identify what is working, what needs to improve, and what practical systems can be put in place to create stronger outcomes for children, families, staff, and the wider community.

Are your programs available for children with special needs?

Yes. Our programs are designed to support children with special needs, developmental differences, learning challenges, behavioral needs, and neurodiverse profiles. Bright Minds Consulting works with children who may need support with autism, ADHD, emotional regulation, communication, executive functioning, learning readiness, behavior, social skills, daily routines, independence, and functional life skills.

How often are sessions scheduled?

Session frequency depends on the needs of the family, child, school, or organization. After the discovery intake or consultation process, we recommend a schedule based on the level of support needed, the goals being addressed, and the best pace for meaningful progress.

For Families

Family sessions may be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly depending on the child’s needs and the type of support recommended. Children receiving direct functional training, intervention support, or skill-building may benefit from more consistent sessions, while families seeking parent coaching, progress monitoring, or school guidance may need less frequent support. Our goal is to create a schedule that supports growth without overwhelming the child or family.

For Schools & Organizations

School and organization services may be scheduled as one-time consultations, weekly coaching, monthly support meetings, staff training sessions, classroom observations, or ongoing implementation support. The schedule depends on whether the school needs student-specific support, teacher coaching, professional development, program development, or system-wide consultation. Our goal is to provide consistent, practical support that helps teams apply strategies effectively and build sustainable systems over time.
